Produced at Gorilla HQ in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Obot is an open-source MCP gateway that gives engineering and IT teams a way to bring AI tools into their organizations with real security controls and visibility. When they needed a video to introduce the product, they needed it fast.
Gorilla Creative produced a three-minute demo video from kickoff to final delivery in five days.
The Challenge
The brief had two competing requirements. The video needed enough production polish to earn credibility with a technical audience, but it couldn't feel slick or corporate. Obot's open-source identity is part of its appeal, and a video that looked like it came from an enterprise software company would have worked against the brand.
Our Approach
Obot provided a rough outline of the script and a Zoom recording of a webinar for reference. Gorilla Creative took it from there.
We rewrote the script for conversational clarity and voiceover pacing, then cast and recorded professional talent whose tone matched the product: informed and direct, without sounding like a sales pitch. We recorded high-quality screen capture of the live demo and created simple on-screen annotations and guided zoom-ins to direct viewer attention through the demo without overproducing it.
The opening and closing of the video feature 30 to 40 seconds of original conceptual motion graphics, giving the video a clear entry and exit point that frames the product in context before the demo begins and leaves viewers with a reason to go deeper.
The Outcome
Obot received a finished demo video in five days that looks and sounds more elevated than a webinar, but without feeling overly produced. The pacing, annotations, and motion graphics do the work of making a technical product feel accessible without dumbing it down.
For teams that need to move fast without sacrificing quality, this project is an example of what Gorilla Creative can turn around under pressure.
