Filmed in San Jose, CA. Produced and edited in San Francisco, CA.
When a cybersecurity startup is days away from coming out of stealth, there's no room for a slow production process. Kai needed a founder manifesto video for their website before their public launch, and they needed it fast. They reached out to Gorilla Creative, a San Francisco Bay Area corporate video production company — and within 72 hours of our shoot, they had a polished, launch-ready video on their site.
The Challenge
Kai's marketing team had explored using AI-generated video for their founder manifesto, but ultimately decided that authentic, on-camera presence was the right call for a company making its first impression. The problem: their two co-founders only had one available window together before the launch date, and that window was a Friday morning. They needed a full production crew on-site in San Jose and the final deliverable by Monday morning.
Our Approach
We kept the production intentionally lean and focused. On the morning of the shoot, our team arrived at Kai's San Jose office with a full camera, lighting, and audio package along with a teleprompter — so the co-founders could concentrate on delivery rather than memorization. We ran a multi-camera setup, capturing a primary wide angle with both founders alongside individual profile close-ups, giving our editors flexibility without needing any additional footage or B-roll.
In post production, we cut the best takes across multiple angles, complete with lower thirds, an animated logo intro and outro, background music, and color grading. The entire post production process, from raw footage to final export, was completed over the weekend.
The Outcome
Kai launched on schedule with a professional founder manifesto video live on their site — delivered less than 72 hours after the shoot wrapped. The video struck the tone they were after: real people, real conviction, and enough production quality to signal that this is a company worth taking seriously. For a brand coming out of stealth, that first impression matters.
