How HoganTaylor Leverages QuickBooks Online Payroll to "Deliver More Value with Less Effort"

Project Summary

Mid-market business owners and leaders often turn to their accountants and advisors for software recommendations. Intuit, the maker of QuickBooks Online, knows that earning the trust of these professionals is vital to reaching the mid-market sector. To support this goal, Intuit partnered with Gorilla Creative—a full-service corporate video production company based in San Francisco—to produce a series of videos featuring large accounting and advisory firms that trust the QuickBooks Online ecosystem.

In this video, we collaborated with HoganTaylor, a top 100 U.S. accounting firm, to create a results-driven customer testimonial video.

Our process began with an in-depth discovery phase focused on HoganTaylor’s unique challenges and success metrics. Through multiple pre-interviews over Zoom, we developed detailed briefs to share with Intuit. Once the messaging was approved, we created interview discussion guides and prepped for production.

Our video production crew traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a multi-day video and photo shoot. We filmed interviews with HoganTaylor’s team, as well as with one of their clients—Empire Fence, a family-owned local business. By filming authentic moments that show QuickBooks Online Payroll’s seamless integration with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Time, we built a compelling narrative emphasizing increased efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.

In post production, our editors combined these interviews, b-roll of HoganTaylor’s day-to-day workflows, and footage of Empire Fence’s operations to highlight how payroll automation frees both firms to focus on strategic growth. The video underscores the tangible impact of QuickBooks Online Payroll in reducing manual effort, enhancing compliance, and creating better outcomes for clients.

Our scope of work went beyond a single testimonial: we produced a suite of videos tailored to multiple social platforms and marketing channels, as well as a library of still photos for use in articles, web pages, ad campaigns, and white papers. This holistic approach ensures that HoganTaylor’s success story resonates across all of Intuit’s key marketing touchpoints.
