Produced at Gorilla HQ in the San Francisco Bay Area. Filmed in studio in Pleasanton, CA.
When CodeRabbit closed their Series B, they hired Gorilla Creative, a San Francisco corporate video production company, to produce a video to do what a press release can't: put a face to the company, convey momentum, and give the people watching a reason to pay attention.
The Challenge
From production to final delivery, we had just eight days to complete the project. The release date was fixed to the public announcement, which meant creative development, location sourcing, production, and post production all had to move quickly.
Our Approach
Since CodeRabbit was in the process of moving offices, we filmed the video in a studio with a low key, scaled back visual aesthetic. It was casual, laid back, and matched the developer-centric tone of their user base. We provided all of the camera, lighting, audio, and teleprompter equipment and crew to support the video shoot.
On set, our director coached the co-founders through the process so they felt comfortable and confident on camera.
Post production included editing, color grading, sound mixing, and motion graphics built from CodeRabbit's Figma files, animating select product UI and conceptual visuals to reinforce key points without turning the video into a product demo.
The Outcome
CodeRabbit launched their Series B with a video that felt like the company deserved the round. Polished enough to earn credibility with investors and press, specific enough to mean something to the developer community they're building for, and short enough that people actually watched it.
We (CodeRabbit) recently used Gorilla Creative for filming our Series B funding announcement. The team - Matt & Eric were extremely helpful in executing a swift 3-minute video with animations at high quality.
The professional production quality, ambience, and directorial ability were exceptional.
